Roman Dombrow Andy O’Hara ABCD History March 11, 2024 The Cause of the Mexican Revolution

The bloodiest war in North America was the Mexican Revolution. The Mexican Revolution erupted in 1910 for many reasons, but Porfirio Daz’s dictatorship and the inequality that came with it were some of the largest. The Plan of San Luis Potosi by Francisco Madero stated that the citizens did not have control over themselves. While Francisco Madero was in jail for suspicion of plotting to overthrow Porfirio Daz, he wrote the Plan of San Luis Potosi, a call to arms for the Mexican people while placing himself as the new president. Emiliano Zapata, Pancho Villa, and Pascual Orozco all sought a different revolution where Mexico was equal for all. Victorino
