Miranda Rights are a right to remain silent warning read to you by law enforcement when being taken into custody or before questioning in order to preserve and not allow the admissibility of someone's statements against them in criminal proceedings. Subjecting someone to direct questioning without protecting the subject being questioned is a violation of his or her 5th and 6th amendment rights. These rights were decided in the case of Miranda v Arizona in 1963.

The duty of this committee is to resolve and restore ties in between parties in bicameral legislation and compromise. Both the house and the senate must agree to have a committee and chose their confreres. The compromise of these members is key because a bill must be identical from both branches in order for it to become a law.
Committees shape foster and pass laws that govern society. Annually committees receives 8,000 bills and only passes 10% of them. There are four types of committees that all serve different purposes. Standing committees tend to be comprised of the same members of congress year to year but can be discontinued at any time, more importantly they have the power to investigate for example the director of FEMA regularly meets with a standing committee. Select committees are temporarily formed in order to take care of a select issue and usually do not draft bills such as the as the assassinations of JFK and MLK. Madison spoke of factions (political parties) as a group of people who have similar ideas and interests in the government. Noticing how other governments had been torn apart by these factions he explained two ideas to solve this problem. First he said you could take take away the group's loyalty but that would take away the very reason for the separation from great britain. He then stated that you could give everyone the same ideas and practices but this would be impossible and also encroaching on freedom.
