After one season, he decided to leave and go study in Paris to make advancements for himself. When he returned though, he was traded to the White Sox. There, his coaches worked with his busy class schedules and worked him out playing. It really helped Berg balance it all out and take off his career. After all the catchers were out due to injury, Berg filled in and tried it out. At that game, Berg set a standard for himself and earned that spot for the rest of his career. Eventually, Berg was known as the brainiest guy in baseball. This is what took his real life career to a whole new level. Berg was sent to Japan to coach college baseball teams. As smart and skilled as Berg was, he used his senses to sneak up to the top floor of a hospital and could see across Japan.
