The four pillars of National Honors Society have had a large impact on me throughout my childhood and my growth into adulthood. Scholarship has made me into a critical thinker, always asking why and how things can improve. Leadership has taught me how to be responsible, not just for myself, but for an entire group. It has also taught me how to be assertive when need be and how to listen to others. Service has made me want to serve more; it made me realize how much I love working to make someone smile or to better the world. My Character has shaped me to be a good, compassionate person, which in turn raises my abilities to perform the other three pillars. The future is often unclear, but simply using the four pillars of National Honor Society
