My strategies are using the bottom-up approach. For example In Derr, et al. quoting (Altekruse 2004 & Rainbow, 2002) described the bottom-up approach as an ethical decision that is based on the situation, (2013, P.67). I continue to use four criteria specified in the text for guidance in deciding ethical dilemmas. (1) Utilitarian this is an ethical behavior that is guided by what will result in the greatest good for the greatest number of people. (2) Individual ethical behavior that is guided by what will result in the individual’s best long-term interests, which ultimately is in everyone’s self-interest. (3) Moral right ethical behavior that is guided by respect for the basic human right, those mentioned in the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights. (4) Justice ethical behavior that is guided by respect for the impartial standards of fairness and equity, (Gamble & Gamble,
