Im a 20-year-old part time worker, working at my local movie theater. I started about 3 months ago working an average of 35 to 40 hours a week at minimum wage, and still barely able to pay my bills. I walked in to my work on 6/27/13 to get my new scheduel for the week. When i got my scheduel there was a note attched. This is the main portion of the note: "As many of you are aware, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed by Congress and then signed into law on March 23, 2010. On June 28, 2012 the Supreme Court rendered a final decision to uphold the health care law. As is the case with most companys, ********** budgets a specific amount inorder to provide health care coverage to our enployees. It has always been our policy that employees that average 25 hours a week or more will be provided options for health care coverage, often at little cost out of pocket to the employee. Due to new restrictions imposed by the ACA, thoes inexpensive plans will not be an option for us in the long term. For us to meet the demands of the ACA, and our health care budget going foward, the following restrictions/requirements are being imposed as of July 1, 3013: Hourly employees of Operation Coordinator rank or lower are limited to 28 hours per week. Hourly employees that that exceed 28 hours per week are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Like many other employers in the theater
