In today's 21st century, dating apps and website have been at its highest popularity. Websites like Match.com and Eharmony.com are some of hundreds of dating websites out there, these two are the most common dating sites that the public know of. 30 years ago no one would ever think that we would meet our significant other through the internet. A portion of the current population rely on dating websites whereas back in the day we had to find someone the old fashion way.
The very first dating website that was ever established was Match.com, when first opening up the page you have to sign up and answer some questions. For example I was asked what was my height, body type, education level, if I smoke, drink, if i have kids, religion, if I was ever married and my annual salary. You also are required to type a minimum 100 character bio of myself. I was also asked to pick what aspects were important for me in a guy such as, age, body type, and pretty much everything I was asked. Once you answer all these questions you get a list of people that have similar answers and you decided if you want to skip or message them. Mostly people put in their bio is what their looking for in a person, what hobbies they like and describe what they think about themselves. I was asked where i'm from, my name, ethnicity, birthdate,religion and height. I was asked less preference questions but was asked me how important that preference was to me, they wanted me to type three things I was thankful for. I had to take four different compatible test, asked how I feel regularly ,skills I have and my relationship values. The profiles are different, has more depth in interests and says more about the person but most all matches have no picture on how they
