The strengths that arose for me, according to the personal characteristics, professional orientation, and ethical practice assessment by Engels, Barrio Minton, and Ray (2010), vary among counseling competencies. If I were to add up the maximum amount of points, providing each guideline a high of five points, the first competency; a skilled professional who maintains good mental health would rate a 55. Comparatively, I scored 49/55 on the first competency.
