Some people hit the trigger button while being angry or in depression which is why it’s very important that they actually implement laws to examine whether you’re qualified to be equipped with a gun. As a result, it would reduce the amount of people getting killed every year and also reduce a number of gun accidents.
However, owning a gun isn’t always negative, you never know if something horrible is going to happen. There are actually many people purchasing guns to protect themselves and their family from danger. It’s not always the damage you can do with it that makes you want to buy one, instead the confidence you get from owning one. For an example, if you wake up during the night because of some sound coming from the kitchen you would feel much safer having a gun next to you rather than being empty handed. Personally, I would have felt so much safer carrying a gun when inspecting the sound instead of going empty
