On 10/14/17 at approximately 10:31am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to 2170 Danby Drive, on a dog at large, patrol only. I arrived at approximately 11:35am. I was flagged down by complainant (Shirley) who resided at 2180 Danby Drive, she stated a pit bull (brindle) was in her backyard and it belonged to her next door neighbor (2170 Danby Drive). I exited my vehicle, and saw a brindle pit bull loose in the complainant backyard. I approached the pit bull. The pit bull charge at me as to attack. I utilized my Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray to stopped the pit bull from attacking me. I tried to capture the pit bull, but the pit bull ran around the yard. Pindell that dog owner (Christopher Thomas) was looking to claim his dog. FCACC Dispatcher A. Pindell instructed Mr. Thomas to meet at FCACC at 5pm to claim his dog. At approximately 5:00pm, I met with Mr. Thomas. I explained to Mr. Thomas that a complainant was received that his pit bull was loose. I asked Mr. Thomas if his dog name Elizabeth and his second pit bull name Charles were current on dog license and vaccinations Mr. Thomas stated he was in the process of getting both dogs vaccinated. I explained to Mr. Thomas that there will be violations in regards to the incident. I asked to see Mr. Thomas identification he complied. Mr. Thomas identification was expired, so I took a picture of Mr. Thomas and attach it to his person identification number our database (Shelter Buddy). I issued Mr. Thomas violations for failure to license and failure to vaccinate both dogs. In addition I issued Mr. Thomas a violation for failure to control a nuisance dog in Elizabeth. Elizabeth was designated nuisance. I release Elizabeth to Mr. Thomas. I cleared from the area at approximately
