A Plea Bargain in a law sense is simply an agreement between a state or local prosecutor and the defendant of the crime committed. In this type of agreement the defendant will admit to being guilty, or they will call no contest on simple charges so the prosecutor won't punish them as hash with other charges. Most times this admitting to some charges will lessen the severity of the sentencing recommended to the judge by the prosecutor. The prosecutor has the power to recommend the sentencing to the judge Its a loophole out of trouble for many who are involved in the dangerous lifestyle of crime. For example a person with a severe drug charge along with lesser ones such as larceny, could admit to to larceny charge and get the sentencing for the drugs cut in half, or something else beneficial to the defendant of the crime.

If the chances a person has the ability to obtain a plea bargain increase then the people wouldn't be deterred not to commit a crime. The actions of citizens would certainly be much different than if it was increased. For instance criminals or even potential criminals would atleast think about committing a crime. With that being said more of the citizens would avoid crime and have trust in their justice system and government. Decreasing the ability to obtain a plea bargain is the best thing for the country. Furthermore i think the ability should actually be removed do denied fully, people shouldn’t be able to debate on their punishment for crimes committed against society. The justice system should operate properly, and part of this is having the fear and respect of its citizenry. The above is why i would decrease the chances the defendant can get plea bargain for all
