Since it was first proposed most of the nation's population have been against the so called Affordable Care Act or better known as Obama Care. Americans that looked at the legislation when it was first proposed to a the nation and Congress dislike it from the being for a variety of reasons that surrounded family's security, education and for many their religious beliefs. All three areas were examined and thought by a majority of the American people to be bad legislation for their families and businesses. From the family perspective Obama care initially appeared to be a favorable with the elimination of pre-existing clauses from health care insurance and suppose to control insurance rates. With the elimination of the pre-existing conditions clause this meant that no matter what medical condition either they or any other family member diagnosed with a medical condition, they would able to find coverage. The biggest advantage was their ability to remain on their parents insurance until the age of twenty six without fear of being dropped. This was an advantage for the college students but they soon realized that this advantage also meant that schools would suddenly become much stricter on health insurance for admittance Many religious leaders and the members of many different faiths thought that because the act forced them to offer drugs that would cause abortions this was a violation of their freedom of religious rights. This meant that any business that offered health insurance must off the day after pill or other types of pregnancy prevention methods. It was their opinion that being forced to offer this type of drugs they were approving pre-material sex and abortions.
