In fact CLIL teacher acts as a facilitator. This task build student’s confidence to experiment with language and content, so increase the student’s language awareness. Also, as a CLIL unit, the task expect to activate the prior knowledge of the learners about the objects used by palaeontologists. Not only is a role-play where pupils build their own knowledge, but also uses scaffolding techniques. The flashcards displayed on the blackboard support the task of completing the worksheet. The goal of scaffolding is to inspire learners to want to learn more and increase their knowledge and understanding.
