The spread of Islam can be rooted to the geographic focal point of its birthplace. The intricate trading systems meet at Mecca, This made Mecca prosperous and important. This is why Islam taking over Mecca was a big deal. Once it had the heart of the trade based region, it was able to boom within 100 through Campaigns extending from 200 miles north, 500 miles east. The compliance of the non-religious wasn't a thoughtless act, it was the taxes that were imposed onto the non-Muslims that drove them to switch to Islam. Another reason the non-Muslims switched to Islam was the raids that were inflicted towards them. The ummah was not allowed to attack each other, so they attacked nonmuslims. When a non-Muslim had to pay taxes for their religion and was riddled with raids because of their religion, they came to the conclusion that switching to Islam was the best choice. The political pressure pushed the non-Muslims to comply because of they hardships they were presented
