Providers must keep a record of all accidents and first aid treatment given, all parents must be informed of any accidents/injuries that a child has whilst in their care and also if that child receives any first aid treatment and particularly important if they have bumped their head.
All parents must be told of any procedures if their child becomes ill or infectious, this could cover being removed from the premises.
Any minor injuries can be dealt with in school and will not need to go home, cuts and grazes can be cleaned but with water only no creams are ever to be allowed to be applied.
