In a battle between samurai and knight, a samurai would win. A samurai has a greater advantage because of numerous of numerous of reasons. Some reasons may include what they do in their daily life and their protection. While knights and samurai have many similarities, in a one on one battle, the advantage would be to the samurai and this can be seen in their code, armor, and their training.
The first way that samurais have the advantage is because of their armor. In document D written by Terry Bennett, it says, “Samurai did not wear armor on their right arm so they can easily draw their bow.” Since samurais didn't wear armor on their right, arm, it made them faster when using swords and they can sneak on the knights using their bow. Another piece of evidence that supports my claim is in Document D. It states, “...knights wore armor made of chain mail…” Because knights wore armor made of metal, it gets heavy and will slow them down making them an easier target. This will give the advantage to the samurais. Armor is important but there are many other reasons why samurais would win in a battle against a knight.

In document C1 written by PBS it says, “The rigorous training of samurai began when they were children.” Samurais have been training for a long time since a very young age. This shows that they have been trained well because they have good experience. Another piece of evidence is shown in document C1.
