Service dogs go though a very special training process. According to the article “Service Dogs to the Rescue” “It takes over $40,000 to properly train and place a dog with an owner. Also, Only 40% of dogs that are trained successfully and go though the full 9 month training process.” They spend all that money and not even half of the dogs a go though full training.
