The Military Social Institution is one of the three Primary Social Institutions. The military was initially established to help protect, as well as unify a country, but since it's development, it's done so plus more. The Military as a social institution has led to domination and conquering of sorts, while trying to balance morals and justifications. Since the military is run by the government, it can be assumed that not only does this institution try to control and rationalize, but also continue to boil over into much of the other institutions.

The Religion Institution is a Secondary Institution. Religion has always had a high place within society, seeing as how much of the world fights just for the ability to pray. As the Religious Institution seems to be weakening within the United States, it only continues to grow within other societies worldwide. With wars being fought, and much literature being created particularly for the religious eyes, it is no guess why religion projects itself as a predecessor throughout time. We (society) have created a basis for what we think is "norm", with much of that dealing with religion and Christianity.

The Sports Institution is a secondary Institution. Sports play a major role in the U.S. (as well as others) society. With TV channels specifically devoted to the viewing pleasure of every sports fan, and even special "sports gatherings" in which society holds close to its founding roots. Sports play a big role in bringing society together, even at the worst of times. The heroics of an athlete can lead to the societies eyes upon him/her, while the deconstruction of another; lead to the disgust of a society. As simple as can be said, society creates entertainment for all to watch, and gives reasons to justify some of the most outrageous events in all shapes and forms.
