Everything was dark except the one little light in the middle of the area. Standing in that light was a man, he tipped his hat to the crowd with a big smile. He had blue jeans, a button up cowboy shirt, and a black felt had. He’s a champion, he’s a world champion. The world Champion Trevor Brazile.

Trevor was born in Amarillo, Texas, on November 16, 1976. From the time his dad introduced him to a rope he knew he wanted to be a rodeo cowboy. His parents Jimmy and Glenda were both champion ropers. It was in his blood to be great.

His dad Jimmy qualified for the NFR in steer roping four times. Steer roping is an event in rodeo where you rope a longhorn steer around the horns and knock him to the ground. Then you get off of your horse run down the rope and tie 3 of the steer’s legs together. Jimmy was considered to be one of the best in the business.

Trevor went to college at the Vernon Texas Regional Junior College earning his associate's degree in arts and sciences. He attended on a rodeo scholarship. After he finished at West Vernon, he transferred to West Texas A&M University. Trevor left West Texas A&M in 1996 before he graduated so that he could compete full time in the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA).

Trevor loves hunting, fishing, training horses, roping with Treston, and playing softball with Style. Trevor’s wife, Shada, also is from a rodeo family. She is an NFR qualifier in her own right in barrel racing. She is the daughter of the legendary Roy Cooper, and she is sister to Clint, Cliff, and Tuf Cooper. Each of these brothers have qualified multiple times for the NFR with Tuf winning the world calf roping title times. The family tree also includes more well-known NFR cowboys with cousins Stran Smith and Stetson
