The character Tommy’s actions changed the story plot because if he didn’t predicted that there was a fake family, they wouldn’t have accused Mrs. Goodman and Steve of being an alien. Maybe even Pete Van Horn probably wouldn’t have died. These facts indicate that when they accused Mr. Goodman for being an alien they started chaos. When he wasgot accused, everyone focused on him and his family and then it escalated and everyone started doubting each other and not trusting anyone.
