The Hunger Games: A Cultural Analysis

The Hunger Games has a very strong connection with its culture. Many of the people and locations in the book tie together with the culture of the book. In one of my sources I’m using they specify the relationships between names from the book and from Roman history, “these include Cato, Portia, Octavia, and Flavia. These Roman names generally go with characters who are from the Capitol or the wealthy districts” (Shmoop). The culture incorporated in the book is wrapped around Roman history.
