Approximately 10% of the adult population, is expected to be current e-cigarette users (2). In Scotland, a cohort study done in 2021–2022 reports that 16.8% of the people are currently using e-cigarettes, and 3% of them are dual users (3). Adult smokers who have never tried e-cigarettes are becoming less and less common, while the percentage of smokers who have tried them has increased.
