Then the principal changes her mind when she tells him something. On page number 110 and 111, Martha's grandpa tells her that if she has to pay for the jacket it's not a scholarship jacket. That makes her realize that her grandpa is right and that she would have to pay for it. She still wants the jacket that why she is a little bit upset. The next day That goes into the principal's office and the principal asks her if she can pay for it, and she said no. She told him that her grandpa wouldn't pay for it because if it was a scholarship jacket he wouldn't have to pay for it. Then the principal told that they're going to have to give it to the next person it line. She got really sad when he said that. The she said fine give it to Joaan because her dad is more powerful and he is on the board of the school. She stood up and was about to get out of the room. Then the principal told her to wait and take a seat and that she does deserves the jacket and that he is going to make an excuse for her. He also told her that he is going to tell the board that she deserves the jacket because she worked for it. So at the end she gets the jacket. This story she is really joyful in because she stood up for herself when something was not fair, Also is joyful because she knew that her hard work paid off, and at the end she gets the scholarship jacket that she worked hard for. One time I also stood up for myself
