In the article “Africa’s Uneasy Neighbors”, “In July, hunting guides lured a lion named Cecil from a protected area in a national park in Zimbabwe.” The text goes on to state, “The killing of Cecil, who was a tourist attraction and had been studied by scientists since 2008, sparked outrage around the world.” The last piece of evidence is in The New York Times and it states, “Trophy hunting also removes a significant number of animals from these rapidly declining populations.” That proves that trophy hunting can be harmful to animals that are already almost extinct. In the final analysis, allowing people to trophy hunt should be banned or not allowed. It doesn’t benefit others, the animals aren’t safe, and it contributes to animal extinction. The world needs to realize that animals will be extinct and they won’t come back. Children won’t be able to see the beautiful animals. That is why we need to stop poaching and other forms of trophy
