“An A in Failure” Reading Response When I think of failure, I dread its existence. Most individuals find failure to be a horrendous concept that puts us back in our work. You make all this progress, just to fail and try again, and on occasion, you try several times to make very little progress. In Twyla Tharp’s essay An A in Failure, the word failure is redefined into a more positive outlook. Tharp looks at failure as a stepping stone to success. To succeed and learn, you must fail.
