In the first chapter “Under The Wire” of the novel “The Circuit”, the author, Francisco Jimenez illustrates how a migrant child and his family, Mama, Papa, and Robert live their new life in California with several difficulties in their way. The overall mood of this chapter is hopeful and friendly.
For one thing, the author demonstrates the mood of hope, a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
