Sometimes it is difficult to understand where the line of confidentiality should be drawn. However, there are ethical theories that can help us understand a problem and guide us into making a moral decision. In this situation I would refer to the Utilitarian/consequentialism theory to guide my ethical decision making and action for the above case. “Utilitarianism is an ethical theory that determines right from wrong by focusing on outcomes.
