If I could have a 30 minute conversation with anyone in history I would chose Robert Oppenheimer. Despite being known as one of the fathers of the atomic bomb he went on to lobby for the prevention of a nuclear arms race. Even during the cold war, this resulted in the loss of his security clearance and political death. Despite all of this he still called for nuclear weapons to be controlled and for the world to not descend into the madness of an arms race. I would like to discuss with about his opinions on the modern day nuclear climate. Even though tensions with other nuclear powers in the world are still tense the world is working to disarm from the cold war and is trying to move to a more peaceful use of nuclear power.
