Why Did Bud Use His Rules

There is a lot of choices in life. There is also many challenges in life. Sometimes when we decide on things, we are either thriving or surviving. Bud uses his rules to survive in life. He first made rules for himself when he was living in a foster home because his mother passed away. Then he ran away to find a old librarian. That is how he came up with rule 16, 29 and 87. If Bud follows these rules, he will manage to survive.
In chapter seven of the novel "Bud, Not Buddy", we are introduced to rule sixteen. Bud was at the library looking for Ms. Hill when the other librarian asked him hadn't you heard. " I'm looking for Miss Hill." " The librarian looked surprised" "Miss Hill? My goodness hadn't you heard?" That is how we are introduced
