Both United States and Japan have been battling for so long that neither one would surrender. Soon, the Soviet Union would take part in the war if it didn’t end soon. conflict. President Truman created a letter to warn Japan and also giving an chance to surrender before using the atomic bomb. The letter was about the plan on bombing Japan , if they did not surrender they would be “complete and utter destruction”. Japan did not respond, which let United States with no use and dropped the bomb. On 6 August 1945, the first bomb was launched on Hiroshima. over about 80,000 people were killed, and 37,000 were astringently wounded during the initial blast. Three days later, the second bomb was launched on Nagasaki. This bomb killed nearly 35,000 and hurt about 60,000. Many soon died from exposure to radiation. Japan had enough time to respond towards the United States letter. They did not take the letter to consideration and faced the consequences. Japan had many options do win the war and to figure out an idea rather than to ignore the threat. As you can see, Japan made the choice on to let the United States the use the Atomic bomb ; they did not care as so the United States took that response and put it into action by bombing the two cities.
