In the pasts, people escaped to the seas in a way to rid themselves of the government and to pledge no allegiance to a country. Becoming a pirate was the first way of witnessing democracy, where many ships held Articles, conditions, contracts, codes, and rules of payments. As a pirate everyone was given an equal vote and say in important decisions, they were provided compensation, and conducted the first forms of social security (IT’S HISTORY). Overall, the past lives of pirates were politically structured in away unlike the, at the time, neoclassicism rule.
