My conversation with David was very different from my conversation with Zamir. For one thing David sent me mostly sound bites, rarely texting his answers. A cultural difference between us, is that David does very little cooking. He says it is difficult, and best left to those who have experience, his wife and mother in law. In my family the women do most of the cooking, though that’s mostly because my family is mostly composed of women. Not because the men can’t cook. David’s favorite thing to eat currently, is American fast food. I found that interesting, because I would never say my favorite thing to eat is fast food, American or otherwise.
