V kidnaps Evey and puts her in a prison cell he tortures her and makes her believe hes the government trying to get to him. The director uses Lighting to show fear in the prison cell he uses a dark blue filter and black to portray a cold, scary scene and helped us to feel how Evey felt. The director also uses dialogue to show how effective Vs torture and imprisonment was for Evey. Evey had one last chance to give in before she would be killed but instead she says “I would rather die behind the chemical sheds.” This shows us that Evey is no longer afraid. The director’s purpose is to help us to understand that people can be influenced to change even if it’s not for the right reasons.
