During the nineteenth century imperialism was developed. Imperialism was extending the power of a nation over other land with military forces. This involved many European countries including Italy, Spain, Germany and France. Throughout the age, many European states created empires in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Sinced advanced technology allowed Europeans to explore the known world, their geographical location contributed to the good outcome of battles which made exploration of the world easier because of high immunity for disease or illness.
The Europeans had a lot of advanced technology that was useful to them. Other countries, like Africa and Asia were not able to produce the type of weapons that had been created from technology

They grew wheat and potatoes that could be planted and grown anywhere they were placed. Since these crops were grown in Europe the land was already flat, when there was any battle, it was to both their advantage and whom they were battlings because the ground was flat which meant it was easier to run and see their enemies. The only down side to the flat land was no place to hide if needed. The location The geographical location also contributes to the amount of time the exploration takes. Europe is relatively close to Africa. Africa is one of the places they explored as part of the world that was already known to man. Domestic animals had passed over diseases to humans without them even knowing. Since they were living close to the livestock, the bacteria from the animals. Because they had been living in these conditions for more than a century they developed an immunity which had benefited them while traveling. While traveling they found that not everyone has the immunity they had, there were outbreaks of infections like Smallpox. The first case first spread through Latin America then, reached the Inca Empire. Smallpox were spread through coughing and sneezing or unsanitary blood products like needles. The particles from a cough or a sneeze would attach to the back of one's throat and after a few days signs of a fever appear. This highly contagious and deadly disease wiped out millions of people in Africa. Chills rashes and pain resulted in the blistering of skin that contained the particles of smallpox, eventually killing the people who had the disease in their systems. During this time there was not a known cure because there was not technology to help with testing. Many Europeans obtained this disease because they were only immune to smaller bacterias from their livestock. Some people had a genetic immunity to Smallpox, these people had a better chance to live. Throughout the Age of Imperialism the Europeans were able to vanquish what was known of the world since they were able to have new technology
