We as humans can live and succeed without the internet, however at this point we have become far too dependent on the internet and we rely way too much on it. Not that the internet only has cons to it, there are many pros to having access to the internet. Just by having a phone with data you have so much information that you can learn. However we don’t really know the full effects that using the internet on a daily basis can impact our brains. As stated in Nicholas Carr's thesis he finds himself having a harder time to concentrate and read deeply.

The way Nicholas Carr structured his article was done quite well, he first started his article by recalling a scene from a popular movie that then tied in with his thesis statement, and helped grab my attention. In the conclusion of Nicholas Carr's article he went back to the popular movie 2001: A Space Odyssey which connected the beginning of his article to the end of it. After reading the conclusion it made me remember some of his important points that he made in the beginning of his article. Carr makes his points about the potentially harmful impacts of the internet by referring to his own experiences and the experiences of others (anecdotes). By doing this it helped me as the reader understand the points he was trying to get across.
