Every time I sat in front of the computer and place my hands on the keyboard to write an essay, my mind went blank. I did not know what or how to write. I would squeeze my brain for ideas, but nothing came out; my mind was constantly banging on the threshold of ideas, but it never broke. However, when I ask my mother for assistance and start discussing about the topic, the threshold magically disappeared; then I easily wrote the essay. It was like any other day in mid-2015, with another essay; I was sitting in front of a pencil, a blank paper, and my compact, shiny, and gray Chromebook, patiently and innocently waiting for its writer. Except, this time was a little different; I was determined to write the essay by myself. I grabbed the pencil. With a pencil in my left hand, I systematically started creating the ultimate two-week plan of writing a perfect essay with phenomenal content--at least in my imagination. For the first week, I decided to brainstorm, plan, and outline a paragraph per day, and give myself an ample amount of time to contemplate.
Then, I perused the prompt: write a full-fledged, five-paragraph synthesis essay that analyzes the causes of Romeo and Juliet’s downfall. To begin, on the new sheet of paper, I wrote, “Faith vs. Action R&J Essay” on the top, and right below, I scribbled,

Sitting down in front of the laptop, I was ready, like a fully-equipped soldier, to write the essay with the fruits, disorganized paper, and finally, the ultimate gray sheet of my knowledge and ideas on the side. However, as soon as I put my hands on the keyboard, I immediately became a fearful soldier ready to flee the battlefield. As I started gobbling up fruits, I thought, “What if my teacher does not understand my content?” “How can I let my writing flow?” However, soon after, I realized it did not matter; I had the preparations I had made for the last seven days. I went for the
