Assassination(noun)- to murder (an important person) in a surprise attack for political or religious reasons. This word is synonymous with murder, slaughter, and homicide. In some cases it is completely deplorable and heinous, while in other situations it is completely just and well deserved. That is the case in the assassination of Osama bin Mohammed bin awad bin Laden. Osama Bin Laden was notorious for his affiliation with terrorism and jihadist ideals. He created the terrorist group Al-Qaeda who carried out several attacks on Americans such as the tragic events of 9/11. As a result of killing over 3,000 American civilians, President Barack Obama lead an all out attack to try and eliminate him which was very successful. The assassination of Osama Bin Laden was completely just because of his affiliation with terrorism and the attacks on 9/11; however, some believed he was doing the right thing because of his belief in the Jihad. In 1988, Bin Laden created a new group by the name of Al-Qaeda(which is arabic for the base)(PBS.com). This group carried out attacks of terrorism instead of military campaigns(History.com). This terrorist group carried out several terrorist attacks and most of them were focused on Americans. Their first major attack being a car bombing in the spring of 1995 which killed a couple of Americans. Their most notorious attack which really brought them into the spotlight was 9/11, which killed over 3,000 and injured more than 8,000(PBS.com). If someone is really going to kill thousands of innocent Americans because they are in the way of reaching their Islamic state, then they deserve to have price tag on their head. Anyone who thinks killing thousands of people is acceptable should definitely deserves to be
