The United States was attacked on 9/11 by the terrorist group Al-Qaeda.President George W.Bush was the current president.He made a very important speech to unite and not frighten our country,the " 9/11 Address to the Nation”.In his speech he uses ethos,pathos and a little bit of pathos.Bush uses a emotional tence on his speech so that he could connect with his audience which were the U.S citizens.

President Bush’s address to the country is about how the act of terrorism that has been thrown at us will not and can’t tear our country apart . “He says terrorist attacks can shake the foundation of the biggest buildings but they can not touch the foundation of America” . On 9/11/2001 America was attacked by Al-qaeda which is a terrorist group in the Middle East . “The victims were in airplanes or in their offices-secretaries,businessmen and women,military, and federal workers.Moms and dads,friends and neighbors.” Bush tries to create a sense of grief using his description of the horrible event.He also brings emotion by mentioning the innocent moms,dads,and neighbors that were impacted since it could have been someone really close to them,making it more close and deep.

Additionally,Bush used just a little of logos.He hardly uses it throughout his passage.Logos is an appeal of logic and is a way of persuading an audience by reason.Bush’s speech doesn't use a lot of logos because it could have made the speech get off topic.If he added numbers and extra facts then the whole speech would have been powerless.It wouldn't connected to the citizens as much,not really making it thrilled and
