September 11, 2001 was another New York City day- drowning in sunlight and crowds of 9-to-5 workers clocking in for yet another busy day of work, until the 8:45 am, the moment our world cam collapsing all around us. Plumes of smoke rose and flames danced around the World Trade Center as the people wandered frantically and aimlessly through the clogged streets of the city after witnessing the first of two planes to tear through the structures. At 9:03 am, our worst fears were confirmed - we were under terrorist attack and there was no escaping. In under a few hours, thousands of lives of were wrongfully claimed, the city was left in ruins, and all sense of security was now nonexistent.

One account from Trinity Church in Newport, Rhode Island truly illustrated the horrors of the event as a whole. The video shot by a bystander showed numerous service men and women braving into the towers making an attempt to salvage who they could, a mission that proved to be impossible. Crippled civilians seeking refuge and lifeless corpses were strewn down the streets while others crowded into the nearest safe-havens. The overall sighting of the event was simply a nightmare, one that replays over and over in your mind.

The video was recorded from the 36th floor of the dormitories and managed to capture the very moment of the attack. This horror story became all too real when desperate citizens began suicide jumping, choosing to take their own lives before the fire consumed them. As the girls witness these events they pace their room, anxious and scared out of their minds, and flee the dorms in order to find safety beyond the city. The last of the footage does not explain what happens to the girls however it shows them entering an elevator crammed with fleeting students who too, were searching for safety in the midst of the
