The freeway, which leads into the city, is always busy with the hustling cars that zoom by frantically trying to make their way to their intended destination. Honking horns from the locals fill my ears as they desperately try to get through the busy traffic that goes on for miles before them. The multiple lanes of traffic make me feel as if I am in a sea of cars, which drift and move ever so swiftly. Most of the time, the stress of driving through the multiple lanes of traffic can creep up on me causing my breathing to hitch and my knuckles turn white from gripping the steering wheel. Inside uptown charlotte, however, traffic disappears and is replaced by local citizens walking along the concrete sidewalks. The first glimpse of the skyline from a distance is always a beautiful sight. The buildings dominate and tower over the city and provide a comforting shade to the streets below. Some of the buildings have the most distinctive architecture and each building has its own unique shape and height.
