In today’s world, many things people predicted to happen in the past have come true. Over time, generations tend to change and better themselves from their past generations by not having the same mind set. In Brave New World, people tend to have a different mindset about life, by having a false sense of love due to the amount of love with each other, and not worrying about the consequences. Today’s celebrities are known for being rich, popular, walking on red carpets, and drama. Many celebrities are known to get married with each other and live happily ever after like disney movies but it's not always true. In Brave New World drugs are used to make people feel good about themselves. For example in today's society people use painkillers, or heroin to make them relaxed, which are also used by many teenagers because they are “bored” due to the lack of activities they have. In their society, it is used to be happy, escape reality, and is strongly encouraged to be used by doctors and their peers. Bernard in the story explains how soma is used to make himself happy by saying, “By this time the soma had begun to work. Eyes shone, cheeks were flushed, the inner light of universal benevolence broke out on every face in happy, friendly smiles. Even Bernard felt himself a little melted” (Brave New World 52). Drugs are being used not to benefit people, but are abused so they can feel better. Drugs can be highly addictive if used frequently in a short amount of time. Today's society are now becoming one with Brave New World by the things we do today because as years comes by people's mindset began to change for the better. It shows that if we continue the way we are now we will end up like them and someday no one is going to be married anymore, everyone will be made from labs, and later we will be known as the outcomes of lab
