A Career As A Juvinile Counselor

As with any occupation, there are rewards and there are challenges, and I believe that goes without saying when the occupation is Social Worker. I feel my interest in working as a Juvenile Counselor would be very rewarding in that there are so very many troubled children and teens that need and want help. There are children who are being abused, children with nowhere to live, children caught up in gangs or children abusing drugs among countless other reasons many children need my help. I believe if many of these children would have had someone showing there is someone who cares about them, cares about their well-being, someone to be a role model, then perhaps some of the children would care about themselves too. Care about where their lives are/were heading. I would be rewarded just knowing I may have had a hand in their decision to take the straight and narrow path, so that they themselves may have rewards in life too. …show more content…
The two tie into one another a great deal and I would love to provide help in the future to children who, for whatever reason, need help getting back on the right path, help them to think in different ways, to figure things out on their own, reiterate their knowledge of right from wrong and guide
