An athletic trainer is a person who provides injury prevention, emergency care, therapeutic, and rehabilitation of injury or medical condition. They are the ones who take care of the athlete when injured or coming back from an injury. Athletic trainers tell the athlete whether they are ready to go back to the sport or not. “The American Medical Association has recognized athletic trainers as an allied healthcare profession since 1990”(Explore Healthcare Careers).
