Already displayed by the organisations current implementation of data warehousing for business intelligence, it is clear that it has an extensive area of coverage within the organisation which is used to harness the power of data to make informed decisions and guide future business practices. These in turn, further enhance the company’s growth. There are however shortcomings in the current implementation of data warehousing and the extent to which it is usable beyond executive decision making. As such powerful methods of business intelligence become easier to use, access should be available to employees from the executive level through to the level of daily operations management as well as to external partners in order to improve the efficiency of the supply chain and consequently the organization itself.
