“Dear Santa, This year I want you to give gifts to the kids in Africa for my Christmas gift. Can you bring them hats,coats, mittens and coloring books…” It was Christmas time, my favorite time of year. I spent my days watching ABC Family’s 25 days to Christmas being absorbed in the land of Whoville in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or Rudolph and his Red Nose in the North Pole, and watching that boy be Home Alone on Christmas and any other film that played. I spent my nights reading a Christmas Carol, and Twas the Night Before Christmas. I enjoyed all the Christmas trees, sugar cookies and Christmas songs until I was forced to stop because it was driving my mother insane.
