Salva Is A Strong Character In A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park, Salva, the main character, is a strong character. Having to walk hundreds of mile through war Salva manages to perservere through those difficult times. Some would say he's weak, but how can you call him weak when he witnessed horrors no one should ever have to see. In the novel, Salva must have determination which leads him to develop into a strong person. For example, it states,"He worked hard so she would not send him away."
