A longer school year would definitely not be a good idea, because kids and parents would begin to dislike school. Kids would forget material over breaks and it would be really hot in classrooms. Parent and student jobs, and other activities may also be affected. This could also be a disadvantage to teachers.
The setup for going to school all year would be: students go to school for 45 days and get a 15 day break. Although year round schooling would keep kids brains on track all year. It would be much easier to have one long break like we do now, and only need to refresh your brain once.
