The moment we enter into any social setting, such as school, we become influenced by our peers. We do whatever it takes to be considered cool, and avoid the feeling of rejection. No one wants to be disliked or hated, so we try to be socially accepted by everyone. At a very young age we learn these fundamental principles. Even when Jesus was alive these feelings were still present. They felt pain and sorrow just like we do. Pontious Pilate was a man who would rather be accepted than executed for standing up for his beliefs. Pontious Pilate was never revered. In fact, the Bible portrays him as a malevolent political figure, however he chose a path that many people would. Pilate chose to kill Jesus, an innocent man, to save himself from death.
