Repetition appears continuously in Anthony’s speech used to persuade the audience to accept that women are citizens and deserve the right to vote, and to fully clarify her points. More specifically, Anthony wanted her repetition to emphasize the key ideas of her speech, such as government, women's suffrage, and women’s rights.
