This article analyzes the speech of Elizabeth Glaser, who was one of the major American AIDS activist and a child advocate. She had got the AIDS virus via blood transfusion that had the HIV strain. In this speech, she mentions that she had a son and a daughter who she transferred the virus to unknowingly by breastfeeding. She states that her daughter died at the age of seven when she could no longer capable of fighting the disease. In her speech, Glaser mentions that the daughter gave her hope when she was hopeless and taught her to care about others when all she ever wanted was to care for herself. She does not beat around the bush, but she is straightforward in addressing the audience. She delivers the speech in a simple way for everyone to understand and uses simple English dialogue as well.
